This gallery was created as a part of the celebration that followed the successful translation of Ace Combat: Ikaros in the Sky to a language that was not Japanese. The ASF-X Shinden II was placed near the spotlight of Ace Combat Infinity because of its use by the United Nations Forces Ridgeback Squadron. This unit was present throughout most of the single-player campaign of the game with the series' ever-present Kei Nagase at the controls of one of them. We forget, however, that the ASF-X Shinden II was introduced in the real world based Ace Combat: Assault Horizon as downloadable content with three paint schemes.
This photo gallery will feature screenshots from the 2006 game produced by Maddox Games, IL-2 1946. This version is Cubeboy’s highly modded installation of said title, including aircraft that go from the 1940’s dogfighters to the currently in service F/A-18C, including aircraft that rarely are flyable in any other game.
The F-14D -HALLOWEEN- is one of the first downloadable aircraft skins available in the Ace Combat series. Released on October 23rd, 2007 as a part of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation DLC Pack 01, this Super Tomcat was the first aircraft skin to feature a holiday theme. It also granted this aircraft stealth capabilities, something unavailable to the F-14 even with the first iteration of Aircraft Tuning introduced in Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception (2006).
