With PAX South now over and the Project: Lighthouse team now home, the creation of articles and interviews begins. While they will not be discussed in detail within this announcement, future articles include:
Project: Lighthouse would like to thank Ace Combat Fan, F22Coleman and Zetec for collaborating to provide coverage for PAX South and experience it together as a team. Additional thanks are extended to new members to be introduced in future interviews, Bandai-Namco staff that made this all possible and Valk for assisting the Project: Lighthouse team during the PAX Arena team death match live stream. Project: Lighthouse is set to host multiple public events for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown starting in February 2019. An announcement formally introducing these events and teasing future events will be made after PAX South has ended. Battle Royale tournaments, Team Death Match tournaments, and "Challenge" events will be discussed within that announcement. A special area on the Lighthouse website for Ace Combat online related information will be created.
To coincide with this, members of Project: Lighthouse will begin a series of articles and interviews in relation to current and past Ace Combat online events. These will discuss subjects like past Ace Combat official and fan tournaments, the evolution of Ace Combat multiplayer to from 1995 to 2019 and interviews with the squadrons and teams that will no doubt be seen flying high in future events. An area for this information will be included on the aforementioned page dedicated to this content as well.
Ace Combat Fan has released a video further discussing the Ace Combat 7 Open Skies Tournament as previously announced by Project: Lighthouse. It should be noted that changes to web page URLs have been made.
The first fan-run Ace Combat 7 tournament! The event will have 16 players from 4 different regions competing for the title of best squadron in Ace Combat 7’s team deathmatch mode. The tournament’s organizing committee has invited prominent members of the Ace Combat community to represent the teams from Brazil, Europe, the UK and the USA - the vast majority of players will be streaming the matches in real time.
For more information see the official event page. Expect many updates as the tournament nears.
