The coverage of Gamescom 2018 was a significant step forward for Project: Lighthouse. This event summary of Gamescom also acts as a thank you to all of those that joined us for our coverage and the members of our team that made the coverage and follow on articles possible.
Our coverage of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown at Gamescom 2018 begins with the first Twitch.tv livestream hosted by Project: Lighthouse. This 23 minute video shows two playthroughs of the demo version of mission 6, which was recently uploaded on YouTube. Another noteworthy appearance is that of the official T.Flight HOTAS 4 flight stick created by Thrustmaster. Though it is unclear if it has the same Ace Combat 7 branding as announced by Bandai-Namco, it is certainly is the same hardware.
The livestream was made possible by the dedicated efforts of our Chief German Translator and Gamescom 2018 representative, Belkan Government. However, it should be stressed that his assistant for the event was key. Known by the screen name Hazawa, he assisted with the livestream and gathering other types of media which will be discussed in our next blog post.
First, thank you all for viewing the first livestream hosted by Project: Lighthouse. This was a great experience for our staff as well and has laid groundwork for other video projects in the future.
Belkan Government, our representative for Gamescom 2018, has returned home. After dealing with an unexpected train cancellation, he still managed to arrive on time to perform the livestream and remain at the event to gather more data. It should be stated once again that he was helped extensively by Hazawa, his assistant for event coverage.
After a vigorous day of visiting the Ace Combat 7 demo area so many times the staff became slightly annoyed, it's safe to say they have a decent understanding of how the game feels and handles.
